Nominate employees for Pride Month Huddle feature
[cid:image033.png at 01DA9D7B.71EB8690]Help us celebrate Pride Month by nominating an employee to be featured in The Huddle. The Cultural Observances and Implementation Subcommittee partners with The Huddle to celebrate cultural observances. This includes a feature article in which employees share their perspectives and experiences. Here is an example of last year's employee feature<https://bit.ly/435PpqT>.
Do you know someone we should feature? To nominate a team member or colleague, follow these steps:
* Only nominate employees who have openly identified themselves as members of the LGBTQ+ community.
* When you ask someone if it's OK to nominate them, make it clear that their participation is voluntary.
* With their permission, email their name and contact info by May 10 to thehuddle at uw.edu<https://discover.uw.edu/MTMxLUFRTy0yMjUAAAGS3l76j6DHF7_7YtY1KYeF_x5VpqIHXMrCQibbeKaXT5UxD2yXDDIy_D8vDXwWVvLzGU0KL6c=>.

Forbes Recognizes UW Medicine as a Best Employer for Diversity
UW Medicine was recognized for prioritizing equity, diversity and inclusion, joining 41 hospitals and health systems from a list of 500 companies with the highest scores.
Participants anonymously rated their own employers on the organization's approach to equity, diversity and inclusion with respect to age, gender, ethnicity, disability and sexual orientation. They could also rate companies they knew through acquaintances or industry. Higher weight in the grading system was given to responses from employees themselves and from respondents who self-identified as being part of an underrepresented group. Analysts also assessed companies on their equity, diversity and inclusion practices to round out the score.
