Propelling quality improvement with AI
[cid:image035.jpg at 01DABE72.F0668250]The DOM AI Workgroup and the UW Medicine Predictive Analytics Committee - led by Drs. Stephan Fihn, professor, Andrew White, professor (General Internal Medicine), and Peter Tarczy-Hornoc and Trevor Cohen (Biomedical Informatics and Medical Education) - are two of the groups at the UW working to harness artificial intelligence (AI) to better facilitate scientific innovation.

They design and deploy advanced predictive models to facilitate evaluations of new innovations. With this approach, researchers are able to utilize machine learning to look at existing data and variables, decipher patterns, and then predict statistically likely future outcomes.
