[WYC Announce] Spring Quarter Announcements

Greeting Sailors, I hope all of you had an amazing and relaxing Spring break!
On behalf of the Washington Yacht Club, We are excited to announce the
commencement of WYC's Spring quarter. Please see the following announcements

: Spring Membership Spring quarter membership sign-ups are now open! Please

see the join <https://washingtonyachtclub.org/about-us/join/> page on our
website on how to sign up. Classes & Events The club whalers have been
fixed (huge shout-out to those who oversee the club's maintenance) and with
that the club will now be back to offering novice and intermediate level
classes. As for April we are anticipating a Laser Novice class, FJ Novice
class, Daysailer class, Windsurf Novice class, and Windsurf Intermediate
class. In addition, Friday Night Social Sailing and Windsurfing Socials
will return. All of the classes and events are posted on the lessons page
of the WYC website, so you can find more information there. General
Meetings & Elections Club officer elections will happen in Late April, with
dates to be finalized in the next two weeks. The following positions will
be open: Commodore, Vice Commodore, Rear Commodore, Treasurer, Secretary,
and Fleet Captain. A general meeting will be held on April 9th to provide
an explanation of the positions. Additionally, members can ask questions
regarding the roles each officer serves by emailing sailing at uw.edu. All
current members who are students at the University of Washington are
eligible. Snooze N' Cruise Our quarterly camping and sailing trip to Blake
Island is planned for May 10th-11th! Look out for sign ups in a couple
weeks and please reach out to sailing at uw.edu if you are interested in
skippering or bringing an affiliate boat. We look forward to seeing you all
out on the water this Spring! Please let us know if you have any questions
or concerns by emailing sailing at uw.edu. We are happy to answer any
lingering questions or chat about the club.
