[WYC Announce] General Meeting and Officer Elections Tonight at 7 pm

Hi everyone,

A reminder that we'll be having a General Meeting tonight at 7 pm:

We will be holding Officer Elections for the roles of Co-Commodore, Vice
Commodore, and Rear Commodore. Please let us know if you would like to run
for any of the positions. Nominations at the meeting and self-nominations
are allowed as well.


We'll be voting on whether to adopt the proposed By-Laws and Policies
document amendments that we've been working on over the last few months.

The sections regarding Whaler ratings and usage have been updated in the
Policies such that they are now in agreement with actual club policy and
state law. Minor changes were also made to clarify language and correct
typos. Friendly language was added to the By-Laws to ensure state law is
met when allowing an Assistant Instructor to operate a Whaler, and an
incorrect reference to another section was corrected. Details can be found
in the document below and will be explained in the meeting prior to a vote.

Position Holders and Fleet Captains: Please try to send us any updates,
questions, or needs that you have in advance if possible. We've been trying
to streamline the reports portion of our meetings by trying to collect this
information in advance, but we can certainly spend time on topics if it
would be helpful.

Additionally, we will be approving our previously-distributed General
Meeting minutes from November 21st (attached again here for your
convenience).
