in NC State's newest Academy, Climate and Sustainability.

NC State Academies bring together NC State's colleges and units in an
interdisciplinary manner to address some of our greatest challenges. I
serve as the Director for Climate Science and Services for the Academy and
will work closely with this person - they'll also have a chance to interact
with our CAP team. As you can see from the description below, this would be
perfect for one of the CAP/RISA network grads.

NC State’s Climate and Sustainability Academy is seeking a dynamic
postdoctoral research scholar to lead innovative, data-informed dialogues
on landscape and environmental change across North Carolina and beyond.
This scholar will work closely with university units and external partners
to identify topics, develop engaging data and visualization tools, and
facilitate community workshops that support informed decision-making around
complex sustainability issues. This position will strengthen NC State
University’s ability to further its land-grant mission by leveraging
on-campus expertise and technology resources to proactively engage
community members and decision-makers on complex, scientifically
challenging questions.

Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. in a relevant field, experience in
quantitative modeling and visualization, and a passion for community
engagement and applied research.
