My name is Hema, a member of PGraSC. I am one of the founding members of Institutional Climate Action (ICA), an RSO on campus that advocates UW to take climate action like divestment, cutting ties with fossil fuels, and decarbonization. ICA is co-hosting a teach-in next Thursday with Campus Sustainability Fund about student action on decarbonization and climate justice at UW. This will be a great opportunity learn about and meet fellow students working on campus sustainability problems and discuss solutions. Please find below the details of this event and the RSVP link. Are you interested in fighting climate change, learning about decarbonization at UW, or networking with clubs engaged in student activism? The Campus Sustainability Fund and Institutional Climate Action are hosting a Decarbonization and Climate Justice Teach-In on February 8th from 4-6:00p in HUB 145 and on zoom! This teach-in will focus on climate justice, just transition, and collective action student wins for decarbonization on UW's campus! UW Solar and Environmental Student Policy Association will be joining us to offer some additional context on these topics like the environmental policy context and the UW solar masterplan. Then, we will have FREE DINNER and a networking session with a bunch of different student activism groups on campus! This is a great place to get involved and build connections with other groups!
