*Description:*

Tree policy in Seattle needs to be strengthened to address the growing tree
(and climate) emergency that is upon us.  Instead the tree ordinance was
recently weakened.  Join in to make a difference!

Everyone knows that the Emerald City has as many trees as people who love
them, so why are we razing Seattle’s climate-mitigating native urban
forest? Seattle lost over 1,705 trees between January and October of 2023,
with more coming down soon. Join us to learn about how native mature trees
can help us adapt to and mitigate climate change in our city, why we're
losing trees at such high velocity, and what we can do about it.

*Join this fun, informative event to learn how urban forest policy
influences how well trees are protected in Seattle and beyond.  *Meet the
experts and others with experience and training to learn how you can work
to transform the urban forest.
