Hypothesis: research journal for health information professionals
The 2022 issue of the newly redesigned Hypothesis<https://journals.iupui.edu/index.php/hypothesis/issue/view/1668> is now available. Hypothesis is an international peer-reviewed journal that provides a venue for original research and research-related content, including research studies and reflections on the process in order to encourage a broader, reflective conversation among Medical Library Association members, medical librarians, and librarians interested in research.
Ambitious, Actionable Recommendations to End Hunger, Advance Nutrition, and Improve Health in the United States
The Task Force on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health (Task Force) - an independent group of national leaders and experts - publicly released its comprehensive Report<https://informingwhc.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Informing_White_House_Conference_Task_Force_Report_Aug22.pdf> to inform the upcoming White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health. The Report's 30 recommendations span across six policy areas: Federal Nutrition Programs, Public Health and Nutrition Education, Health Care, Research and Science, Business and Innovation, and Federal Coordination. Each recommendation addresses at least two of the pillars that the White House has selected to outline the scope of the Conference - with many addressing three or four. These pillars include: Improve food access and affordability, integrate nutrition and health, empower all consumers to make and have access to healthy choices, and enhance nutrition and food security research.
