Hacks '22!

*Choose a Track*

*S**taying Connected: Entertainment and Social Media*

During the pandemic, the entertainment industry and social media helped
people stay optimistic, connected, and connected. Entries in this category
will be scored on creativity and how their project furthers the idea of
“Staying Connected” after the pandemic ends!

*W**elcome Back: Local Businesses*

With the world slowly transitioning back to in-person lifestyles, local
businesses need a larger push than ever before to get back up and running
for a greater chance of success. Entries in this category will be scored on
their insight and how their project would help local businesses “Welcome
Back” their clientele!

*E**nhanced Mindfulness: Physical and Mental Health*

As people became more isolated and worked, studied, or stayed at home
during the pandemic, physical and mental health has been
front-and-center.Entries in this category will be scored on their ingenuity
and how their project would either continue or cultivate an “Enhanced
Mindfulness” toward peoples’ personal wellbeing.

*Win Prizes*

All attendees who attend the event or submit a project, are eligible to a
swag bag which will be shipped directly to the student's address. This bag
will include a T-shirt, stickers, goodies, and sponsor related merch.

Furthermore, the teams who win in their track, will win prizes such as
technology, donation to a cause of their choice, and more!

*Network with Companies*

During our event, there will be mentorship and networking opportunities
with top companies such as Meta (formerly Facebook), T-Mobile, Microsoft,
and more. Students can use this opportunity to ask the representatives for
advice on entering tech and also submit their resumes, if wanted, for a
potential internship!

*Engage with Workshops and Speakers*

There will be two exciting workshops during SWE Hacks '22, one led by Meta
which focuses on technical skills and expertise and another by a software
engineer who will give advice on interning, interviewing, and getting into
the field of technology. We will also have a keynote speaker and Major
League Hackathon representative who will give insight on how women and
nonbinary individuals can explore and join STEM and technology.
