[WYC Announce] WYC Spring Elections 4/23/2025

Hi everyone, As mentioned in previous emails and during last general
meeting, the Washington Yacht Club will be holding Spring quarter officer
elections next week! The meeting will be from 6-8pm, and we will
communicate the location as soon as we receive confirmation. Please see the
below agenda items:


* 1. Elections* The following positions are open for election: commodore,
vice commodore, head fleet captain, and secretary. All student members are
encouraged to apply—it's worth noting that *these positions give you dues
exemption*! Please reply to this email if you wish to run, and I will be
happy to facilitate. Please see the following slides from last week on the
roles of each position:

* 2. Policy Amendment* The following Policy amendment has been requested by
Austin Vigesaa: Article 1, Section B, 6, d. Vi: Daysailer Electric Outboard
Specialty Rig Rating: Daysailers may be sailed with the electric outboard
by DH skippers who demonstrate to a chief the correct usage and
installation of the electric outboard and proper docking methods. This
policy will be put to vote during the general meeting. All members are
encouraged to attend as the vote will decide our club leadership!
Additionally, this is a good time to ask club-related questions and/or
propose any additional agendas you wish to have discussed during the
