Cruise is back! If you or someone you know has an affiliate sail boat that could support in transporting to and from Blake Island, please reach out! We'd love to bring as many members as possible. Event Date: Saturday-Sunday, May 10-11 Sign Ups: Open to members one to two weeks from now. Another email will be sent when the link is open. Skippers: For those with relevant ratings or affiliate boats, please reply to this email with your boat preferences. About the trip: Snooze & Cruise is a weekend sailing adventure hosted by the club during the warm months. We depart early Saturday morning, sail about 5 hours to Blake Island for the night, and head back to Seattle on Sunday morning. We've reserved a group campsite to put up your tent and a beachside picnic shelter for preparing and eating meals. Saturday's dinner, Sunday's breakfast, and a bagged lunch for Sunday's trip home are included. You will need to pack a lunch for the Saturday sail. Please note that you are required to provide or coordinate with a group your own sleeping bag, tent, and mess kit. More info will be provided in the days leading up! For more details visit https://washingtonyachtclub.org/lessons-events/snooze-cruise/ Menu Update: As we attempt to bring our budget in line, we are unfortunately deciding not to offer steak as one of the dinner options for this trip. We will likely be providing hamburgers in its place, as well as the usual fish and vegetarian options. We recognize this breaks long-standing tradition, but in keeping with the Club's mission of making sailing accessible, a different dinner option was the only option to keep SnC costs down. Thanks for your understanding. Please send any questions to sailing@uw.edu.
