[WYC Announce] WYC General Meeting 6/26: Decide The Fate of The WYC!

Hello sailors,

Happy Summer Quarter! We hope you have been sailing to your heart’s content
now that Union Bay is a kinder temperature.

Join us in a hybrid *WYC General Meeting next Wednesday, 6/26, at 7 PM* in
Sieg Hall Room 420 and on Zoom! For those of you joining through Zoom, here
is the meeting link: https://washington.zoom.us/j/92216982519 and the
meeting ID is 922 1698 2519.

The major agenda items for this meeting are:

   - Voting on the WYC decision to become a Rec Club via a Rec Club chapter
   so we can remain at the WAC


   - Approval of communications to UW Recreation regarding this decision

Please consider attending! Your input at this meeting is important to the
future of the WYC at the UW waterfront. We would be happy to see you in
person, also.

Attached to this email are the 05-22-2024 and 06-13-2024 meeting minutes
which need to be approved for our record. Discussed were updates to the
dock renovations project, open positions in the Executive Council, officer
elections, and future policy changes with regards to WYC becoming a Rec
Club.

The officer elections went as such:

   - Co-Commodores — Renee Chien and Bhanu Sharma
   - Co-Vice Commodores — Garrett McPheron and Yoochan An
   - Rear Commodore — Olivia Anderson

Additionally, our Summer instructor & volunteer signup form

part of our teaching community this summer! We are always happy to have
help in getting our members out on the water.
