To make this a success, *we need YOU*! There are many volunteer positions and all current club members should consider signing-up. This is a great opportunity to show off our fleet and welcome incoming students to the wide world of sailing. Per WAC policy, we need ALL volunteer names by this *Friday, 9/23 at 10pm*. These boat moves go quicker with more hands and volunteers would be appreciated for both of the time slots. For those returning boats on Sunday morning, there should be the opportunity for some sailing between *11am and 3pm*. And of course, sticking around to help with the Dawg Daze event afterwards would be greatly appreciated. *# RSO Fair Tabling* Moving on, we will be tabling in Red Square next *Wednesday, Sep 28*. While Dawg Daze is our main focus, we want to make sure this is on everyone's radar as we'll need volunteer coverage all day. The option to pay a $50 Waterfront Access Fee only has been discontinued by Recreation. We deeply apologize for this change outside of our control, and we hope that this will not negatively impact your interest in continuing to stay involved with the club. If you are a non-student who has already paid for membership beyond this current Summer quarter, please contact programdirector@washingtonyachtclub.org to help you resolve this issue. In order to satisfy this new requirement, we will refund you the $50 Waterfront Access Fee payment per quarter remaining on you club membership, and you will need to sign up for a full IMA membership directly through Recreation (https://www.washington.edu/ima/member/). Please send proof of your IMA membership to reactivate your membership, or let us know if you need help trying to find a UW student or employee to help you sign up for a "Plus One" membership. If you are unable to satisfy this new requirement, we will refund you any club membership dues and Waterfront Access Fee payments for the quarters remaining on your club membership. Again, we are very sorry about this change in policy from UW Recreation, but please let us know how you would like to proceed.
