Seattle City Light is currently hiring a South Fork Tolt Aquatic Resource Specialist (link below).  Seattle City Light is a department of the City of Seattle and is one of the nation's largest municipally owned utilities in terms of the number of customers served. The position is in the Environment Land and Licensing Business Unit as part of the Science Policy Group. This position will impact long-term management and conservation of aquatic resources in the Tolt Watershed, with opportunities to apply technical and policy skills on an important regional project. This position will play a key role in obtaining a new Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) license for the South Fork Tolt Hydroelectric Project (Project) to be issued in 2029. It also will support the current research, monitoring and restoration program on the Tolt and develop other research/monitoring to improve the understanding and assess the impacts of City Light activities on river processes and aquatic resources.
