[UWcinema] adjunct video production positon at Evergreen

Hello colleagues to the north,

The Evergreen State College in Olympia is hiring an adjunct faculty to teach an offering in Promotional Video, half-time (equivalent of two courses) in the upcoming fall and winter quarters (23-24). It’s set up as a remote class, so commuting/relocation wouldn’t be necessary. The “promotional” theme should be interpreted broadly, encompassing non-profit and cause-based work with clients as well as commercial work. This class has the underlying function of teaching foundations of video production. The current faculty could provide syllabi and materials to the new faculty as a starting place.

Here is Evergreen’s salary grid. If you estimate your “experience year,” pay for this job would be half of that number (half-time position) times 66% (two out of three quarters) times 90% (adjunct rate), plus a little more because the state is giving us an incremental raise. https://www.evergreen.edu/facultyhiring/faculty-salary-grid-guidelines-2022-23
