I use a light aluminum tripod bought from Goodwill for $10. (As people do more of their photography with phones, thrift shops seem to have a variety of cast-off tripods.) This tripod, together with a bridge camera having 42X zoom, weighs 2 1/2 pounds.</div><div><br></div><div> I shoot mostly video, where high resolution and cropping aren’t important.
