<div>Just a note to add to Bob's comment about hawk owls. We lived in New Hampshire for nine years and were lucky to observe these interesting owls a few times. They also did a lot of hovering - took off from a fairly high perch, hover, move on and hover a bit more until seeing something interesting. When not hover/hunting they would leave a tall perch and drop down to the ground quickly. Not a lot of wandering around. A very photgenic owl.</div>
