<div>Yesterday 9/13/24 at the mouth of Cedar River I watched a gull that has me stumped.</div><div>Here is the note I added to my ebird checklist, and some digiscoped photos are linked below.<br></div><div>I'd appreciate any thoughts that are out there regarding this bird. <br></div><div>"The
most striking field mark is a black bill, yellow at the tip (though
clearly not a Sabine’s). Bill smallish and sharply pointed, and rounded
at upper mandible giving a hooked appearance. Medium gray mantle.
Mottled white head and breast. Pale pink feet. Black-ish wing tips.
