<html><head></head><body><div style="font-family: Verdana;font-size: 12.0px;"><div>Hi, Tweets</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I guess it's time to get busy on last month's report - not the most exciting time for most birds, maybe, but migration time isn't far away and that's usually busy for both birds and watchers. Following is the mostly local Washington report (only a couple from e-bird) and thanks to the Anacortes reporters. We used to do hawkwatches from Mount Erie so it's good to know there are still plenty of turkey vultures in the area.</div>
<div> </div>
<div><u>JULY</u></div>
<div>07 -- Eight turkey vultures at Gossett Road, Clallam County (near Joyce).</div>
<div>10 -- Four turkey vultures about 10:00 am flying over the Stabbert Marina in Anacortes. They were circling around, but drifting eastward along the shoreline toward “downtown” Anacortes.</div>
<div>12 -- One which may have been at 1000 feet altitude in the afternoon.</div>
<div>14 -- One turkey vulture at about 2,000 feet elevation with a mature bald eagle over Cap Sante, Anacortes, at 6 pm; 4 at Marblemount boat launch, Skagit County.</div>
<div>18 -- One over Mount Erie School, Anacortes, at noon.</div>
<div>19 -- A single turkey vulture seen twice this morning flying around near my house in Anacortes by the Stabbert Ship Yard. I see them quite frequently here, plus at 1100</div>
<div>a group of 3 were out right over the Stabbert marina. </div>
<div>21 -- One over Grandview Cemetery in Anacortes at 10:30 am.</div>
<div>24 -- One turkey vulture spotted eating a deceased Snake in mowed field while on the Wednesday walk at Billy Frank Jr Nisqually NWR; 4 at Third Beach, Olympic NP.</div>
<div>27 -- One TV, low over the house at 11:45 am. Anacortes at Marysville exit on I-5 and 3 TVs at milepost 208 on I-5 at 2:33 pm; 1 turkey vulture above highway 169 just N of Krain and 6 more in a group almost to Enumclaw.</div>
<div>30 -- One low over the house at 11:45 am and another at 3:00 pm, in Anacortes.</div>
<div>31 -- One turkey vulture at Bennet Road and MEM. Hwy, Mount Vernon - at the same location one hour later at 1:30 PM, another TV.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Turkey vulture activity and numbers is sure to pick up soon so don't forget to look up - lots of birds will be heading south. Plus, you don't want to miss the ones heading north soon, either. Thanks for the reports, they are always welcome.</div>
