This year it was joined by a few Varied Thrushes, tho now that the weather has warmed up, we only see one (male) thrush at a time. The WT Sparrow arrived in Oct and is still here as is/are the thrush/es. <div>Penny Koyama, Bothell </div><div><br></div><div><br id="lineBreakAtBeginningOfSignature"><div dir="ltr">Sent from my iPhone</div><div dir="ltr"><br><blockquote type="cite">On Mar 18, 2024, at 12:46 PM, Ted Ryan <ted@fortryan.com> wrote:<br><br></blockquote></div><blockquote type="cite"><div dir="ltr"><title></title><div>I saw and heard a White-throated Sparrow on the Queets River a number of years ago, early November. I have also heard a variation of their song about this time of year in Kitsap County but did not get a visual ID. I chalked those up to maybe a Golden-crowned or White-crowned Sparrow with a confused song memory as it wasn't obviously the song of a White-throated Sparrow.<br></div><div><br></div><div>Ted Ryan<br></div><div>Port Orchard, WA</div><div><br></div><div>On Mon, Mar 18, 2024, at 12:05 PM, <a href="mailto:tweeters-request@mailman11.u.washington.edu">tweeters-request@mailman11.u.washington.edu</a> wrote:<br></div><blockquote type="cite" id="qt" style=""><div><br></div><div>------------------------------<br></div><div><br></div><div>Message: 2<br></div><div>Date: Sun, 17 Mar 2024 23:22:17 +0000<br></div><div>From: Eric Snyder <<a href="mailto:guideon72@hotmail.com">guideon72@hotmail.com</a>><br></div><div>To: "<a href="mailto:tweeters@U.WASHINGTON.EDU">tweeters@U.WASHINGTON.EDU</a>" <<a href="mailto:tweeters@u.washington.edu">tweeters@u.washington.edu</a>><br></div><div>Subject: [Tweeters] White-throated Sparrow in Issaquah?<br></div><div>Message-ID:<br></div><div><<a href="mailto:MW4PR20MB5565E7183719E9C563C54527B12E2@MW4PR20MB5565.namprd20.prod.outlook.com">MW4PR20MB5565E7183719E9C563C54527B12E2@MW4PR20MB5565.namprd20.prod.outlook.com</a>><br></div><div><br></div><div>Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8"<br></div><div><br></div><div>Hey All,<br></div><div>I am just trying to get confirmation that White-throated Sparrow is a legitimate possibility for having been spotted in Issaquah this last week. I was taking out trash and noticed a small sparrow on the neighbor's fence that didn't look quite? right for any of our regulars; and when it turned to face me, had a very distinct white patch running from its chin to the top of its breast. Without having that face view, I was prepared to shrug it off as an oddly-patterned White-crowned; but, a White-throated would be a cool find out here.<br></div><div><br></div><div>-Eric Snyder<br></div><div>-------------- next part --------------<br></div><div>An HTML attachment was scrubbed...<br></div><div>URL: <<a href="http://mailman11.u.washington.edu/pipermail/tweeters/attachments/20240317/1dcc2ea7/attachment-0001.html">http://mailman11.u.washington.edu/pipermail/tweeters/attachments/20240317/1dcc2ea7/attachment-0001.html</a>><br></div><div><br></div><div>------------------------------<br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div></blockquote><div><br></div><span>_______________________________________________</span><br><span>Tweeters mailing list</span><br><span>Tweeters@u.washington.edu</span><br><span>http://mailman11.u.washington.edu/mailman/listinfo/tweeters</span><br></div></blockquote></div></body></html>
