However the Chewelah Christmas Bird Count is on for Saturday Dec 30. This a fun count with quite a bit of elevation range. It ranges from the Colville River Valley to the 49 Degrees ski area. About third of the circle is Colville National Forest and about half is agricultural lands. This makes for some great variety.
