<div>This isn't exactly the best time for turkey vultures so I will wait and do an end-of-year report. I haven't received any reports this month but I am interested in any over-wintering birds you might see. There are always a few and with weather changes, who knows.</div>

<div>For those of you with an interest in vultures, there is now a 'Condor Spotter Pacific Northwest' which is covering the first cohort of young condors released in far northern California. I'm a Pacific Northwest native so sometimes way northern California doesn't seem to fit the bill . . . however, those young birds will wander so who knows. The new cohort is eight young birds plus one adult mentor. At the site you can learn their Yurok names, their numbers, birth dates and lineage. </div>

<div>If you Google "Condor Spotter" and it comes up Central California, just click on that name and all the other sites will come up. And, if you key in "Condor Spotter Pacific Northwest" you will find all the information your ever (or never) wanted to know.</div>

<div>At the San Diego Safari Park 'Condor Cam' the young birds are now out in the big flight pen. There are ten rookies and one mentor at present. Fun to see them with the night lights.</div>
