<div>Things are settling down with migration pretty much over it's time for nesting or just hanging around. Later in the summer we'll see more young birds with black heads along with the adults. Then, the whole cycle begins anew with fall migration. That's the time to see lots of turkey vultures together. Following is the report from Washington turkey vulture sightings in May, 2022.</div>

<div>01 -- Two turkey vultures eating a dead rodent in the road near Mayfield Lake, Mossyrock, one circled then landed in a tree nearby; About 12 kettling over I-5 south of Bellinghan between mp. 246-7, ca. 0800,</div>

<div>06 -- Two near the Deception Pass SP bridge.</div>
<div>07 -- One turkey vulture near M Street in Auburn.</div>
<div>11 -- One over Chinook Bend</div>
</div>
<div>14 -- One turkey vulture in the Homeacres Road area, Everett, ca. 1300.</div>
<div>19 -- One at the end of the day at the JBLM Eagles Pride Golf Course</div>
<div>20 -- One over Oso Loop Road in Oso, Snohomish County ca. 0900.</div>
<div>21 -- Two turkey vultures together gliding SW about 2 miles south of the north terminus of Centennial Trail in Snohomish County ca. 1200.</div>
<div>25 -- Three over the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually NWR in good weather; Eight over east Cle Elum in the a.m. plus three on Taneum Road in the p.m.</div>
<div>26 -- Turkey vultures seen every day from a Burlington yard utilizing updrafts from the hill with eagles, ravens, etc.</div>
<div>31 -- 13 moving through the valley at Stillwater, also possibly 5 more individual birds.</div>
