[Tweeters] feeder frenzy

Hello tweets,

Perhaps it’s the persistent mediocre weather, but we have had amazing and sustained activity at our feeders (and that’s without Pine Siskins). We have at least three Townsend’s and probably a half-dozen Yellow-rumped Warblers, flying from feeder to feeder and chasing one another around the yard. A warbler will chase another all the way across the yard, and then minutes later, both will be feeding at the same feeder.

Surprising to me, both of them are often at seed feeders, perhaps eating just the sunflower bits. We just had a Hairy and Flicker feeding on opposites sides of a suet feeder, and now a Pileated has taken their place. It’s a visual feast, and I’m having trouble putting the camera down. I hope everyone is having similar experiences as the year is winding down.
