[Tweeters] Robins strike an owl

We camped last night at Ft Casey at the Coupeville ferry basin. Hiked up toward the lighthouse and into the large picnic area. Spotted a great horned owl as it flew into a doug fir. Great view of the peaceful bird until a gang of robins showed up. We observed repeated direct hits by the robins to the owls head and back. This went on for at least 15 min; robins striking, owl flinching….but it never flew. This was a new aggressive side to robins we’d never seen before.
