Thanks to all for the suggestion of making a conservation donation every time we see a rare or life bird. Many of us regularly donate to conservation organizations but this is a fun way to up your game a bit. I just went to the Northwest Swan Conservation Association web site. It was easy and quick to make a donation. I will try to make similar donations with future sightings. Great idea.
