[Tweeters] RFI lodging Anchorage & Homer

Dear Tweeters,
A friend and I are going on an 8-day birding trip to Alaska soon. Might any Tweeters have suggestions regarding lodging in Anchorage and in Homer? We hope to get something close to Anchorage Airport the first night, as my friend will be tired with jet-lag after taking several flights. B&B's would be great, if there are any recommended ones--or else motels. We are not looking for luxury accommodations.
