Seems really likely. I frequently have martins fly over, often so high up I can’t see them. I’m a half mile from Henderson Inlet where martins nest at the Woodard Bay Natural Resource Conservation Area and, probably, some other intertidal locations. They do cover a fair amount of territory around nesting sites.

Subject: [Tweeters] Purple martins tacoma flyover?

Hello all, I was enjoying my backyard today and pretty sure purple martins flew over. I am up the hill from the port of tacoma on the east side of the port. Is it possible for them to be flying over my house? It just always seems like they stay by the water
