[Tweeters] Atacama Desert

A little over two years ago, we made a trip to South America and visited the Atacama Desert.  This is the driest desert on earth outside of the polar regions, yet life abounds and features many rare and unique birds and animals, including the two rarest species of flamingos.   I just posted a video to YouTube about the wildlife of the area, and also includes some of the geology and a visit to ALMA, the world’s largest radio telescope project.
