[Tweeters] Pine Siskins ill and dying

Salmonella is present in the feces of infected birds. As I understand it, that is the primary mode of transmission. Feces is less likely to end up on a suet feeder due to the design of the feeder. Platform feeders are the most likely to be an issue. This was why I took mine down for a week but left up my suet feeder. I’m using my platform again, but I’m taking it down each night and cleaning/bleaching it.

I still have a suet feeder, which brings 4 species of Woodpeckers, a bunch of Bushtits and a few others. Feels good enough to me.
