Pat gave me a game camera for Christmas, so I tried it out. Strapped it 
onto our curly bark maple, facing a spot where we think raccoons are 
getting under our deck at night, and checked it this morning. Did catch 
the raccoon ambling over to the opening of the deck at 2:15 AM, plus a 
doe wandering through. There is a single frame out of 25 that shows what 
looks to be an owl on our veggie garden enclosure; it appears in only 
that one frame and is not sharp enough to be sure of identity as an owl. 
However, the perch chosen would not accommodate a cat nor a heavier 
animal; I do see what looks like ears. Hmmm . . . I will set up again 
this evening to see who appears.
