While walking the Skagit Regional Airport Road quite near the Highway a
goshawk cut across the road at 100 feet elevation or less. The hawk was
probably female. The hawk went to perch. 2 photos were of this perched
hawk. Shortly, a photo will be placed on my blog— goshawktalker.blogspot.com
and a report will be sent to WOS.
You will probably never observe a goshawk in this area in summer, but in
Fall, Winter, and Spring, I am suggesting this area is a hot spot for
goshawks. I was told this area contains ten miles of biking and walking
paths. Nelson Briefer - Anacortes. I plan on hawking this area at least
five days a week for about 6 weeks. Hum. What is the significance of 6
weeks? NB.
