I don’t want to persecute anyone for artistic license. In this case, it would have helped if the artistic license was used in an artistic rendering of a goldfinch rather than a fairly accurate portrayal of a Great Tit.



For those interested in what the banner looks like, here’s a link to a picture I took today. I also uploaded a picture of a the steelhead banner that shows considerable artistic license but, in this case, doesn’t look like a completely different species.
