> Before heading out to watch our grandson play basketball we decided to revisit the previously reported Pacific Loon at the Lake Sammamish State Park Boat Ramp. It turned into an excellent 2.5 hours of birding. We found the Pacific Loon and obtained photos. They were mediocre because of the distance to the bird, but we were happy to obtain any.

> There was so much bird activity, it was difficult to know which bird to photograph next. There was a Merlin high in a conifer on the edge of the parking lot.
