I got to the campground at about 07:45. It was just starting to rain
and the light was terrible. I started out at campsite #44, then
the other loops looking for any sign of bird activity. I finally
found a mixed flock of juncos, chickadees and Townsend's Warblers
feeding along the road at the junction to the roads leading to the
yurts. That's when I got my first looks at it.

I could not get a proper cell phone signal in the campground, so I
headed back toward the river where I sent emails and text messages to
get the word out.

I went back to the campground and relocated the junco flock west of
where I'd first found the flock in an area behind the old green
restrooms. I left after getting Kathleen Sayce onto the flock.
