As important as the updates shared by Matt and Michael are, they pale compared to two other more local actions taken by the ABA and others.  The first is that as a first step in helping the nascent movement against gerrymandering, the ABA and presidential candidate Inslee have agreed that effective today APRIL 1st, separate counties will no longer exist in the state of Washington.  For it's part, the ABA in an historic agreement with Ebird will now consider all Washington observations as having occurred in the unified county of Evergreen (and getting even greener).
In a related decision, Governor Inslee and the King County Council have agreed to accept the Hobbsian proposal to expand the boundaries of Marymoor Park, again approved by Ebird, to include Neah Bay, thus significantly expanding the Hotspot Birdlist.  In the future, bird walks for the "Expanded Marymoor" will alternate between Redmond and Neah Bay.
