Hello everyone,

I just published a piece about the recent BirdLife paper published by the
journal, Biological Conservation, which declares eight more bird species
extinct this decade. In this piece, I focus on each of the eight birds,
including some of the rare "biographical details" that we know about them,
along with a picture or video (when available), so my readers get an idea
of the species that we lost. I also include some of my investigations into
the statistical methods used since I was skeptical of the low rate of
agreement between the methods being tested.

I hope you find this piece illuminating and that you share it with your
bird pals and on social media and twitter.
