Hey, just a head up that both the Clay-colored Sparrow and the Rusty
Blackbird were both present early this afternoon at the end of 134th ave E
in Puyallup. There's a gravel area off the road you can park. There were
sparrows scattered all over the brushy areas and blackberry bushes just off
the dirt road here, and hunkered down at the bottom of the little slope the
goes down from there. It took me about an hour and a half to get the
sparrow... It ended up being with some White-crowneds in the apple trees
and then the fallen branches along the gravel lot where you park. The Rusty
was soon seen after with a flock of Brewer's Blackbirds, first in the field
at the end of 134th and then up in the trees in the same area. Patience is
your friend here, as it might take some time to get these goodies. I'll
make up my ebird checklist here in a little bit.
