Subject: [Tweeters] Varied Thrush with unusual growth on leg

This afternoon I found a dead female varied thrush in my yard that had a
strange growth on one leg, just above the toes. It was rather large, like a
dark gall, and must have been painful. I don't know if anyone is
interested; I have photos and the bird is in my freezer awaiting the Burke.
