While working outside at a customers house I heard a call I did not recognize. Looking up towards a birdhouse sat a wren chattering/scolding away. There was a repeated begging/different call in the cedar hedge. Considering a House Wren, not common for this area but not unheard of I played a call that matched its call. Playing a song brought two into plain view with a possible third calling not far away. I had a strong possibility of a sighting of one of these last summer but no photo. Nice one this time around.

This juvenile was spotted in a backyard at a job site of mine in Birch Bay WA. An adult was communicating with it from above in a cedar hedge. Possibly at least one more seen. The first good look of these I've seen in Whatcom County.
