Hi folks,

Trisha and I are on a road trip to SE Arizona to spend several weeks birding that area - hopefully while capturing some good images in the process. Of course on the way down, we are birding along the way as well. The first night was spent in Phoenix, Oregon by Bear Creek which yielded some good early morning birding this morning with five images that came out well - Lincoln's Sparrow, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Orange-crowned Warbler, female Mallard, male Yellow-rumped Warbler. Late this afternoon, we arrived at our overnight location near Sacramento on a small lake, and added male Wood Duck and a Snowy Egret.

At the Phoenix site, there were 16 Turkey Vultures that roosted overnight very close by. I got good shots of them, but just realized I haven't worked up one of those images - which I will do later. All the way down the I-5 corridor, we have been seeing high numbers of Turkey Vultures migrating north, in kettles of as many as 15 or so as well as individuals.

I'll be adding other images to the Flickr album I've set up for this trip - hopefully to include a number of SE Arizona specialties that are the primary reason for the trip.
