Hi Tweets,

I was super excited to have found a pair of Hairy Woodpeckers today!
Birding along the southeast corner of Camp Long, I found a female on a tree
trunk. A little farther down the path and a few minutes later, I saw what I
thought was the same bird. But it turned out to be a male! I think they are
uncommon, at least I never seem to find any Hairys.

I saw several Wilson's Warblers, Black-Throated Gray Warblers and Warbling
Vireos, and heard thrushes, I believe they were Swainson's. What welcome
songs! I also saw a Bewick's Wren using a nest hole, and I flushed a
Red-Tailed Hawk from its perch.

Good birding,
