I had a pretty amazing morning with migrant fallout at my yard along the
Fairmont ravine in West Seattle. My wife woke me to show me about 20
Western Tanagers in the trees outside the windows. There were many more out
of sight in the foliage. After that about every twenty minutes I would see
other species show up. I think today will push the yard list over 70
species since we moved here two years ago.

Migrant species in the yard this morning:

Pacific-slope Flycatcher 2

Warbling Vireo 1 FOY

Cassin's Vireo 1 FOY, new to yard list

Swainson's Thrush 2 FOY

Orange-crowned Warbler 3

Wilson's Warbler 2

MacGillivray's Warbler 1 FOY, new to yard list

Common Yellowthroat 1 FOY, new to yard list

Black-throated Grey Warbler 1 FOY, new to yard list

Western Tanager 25+, probably many more

Black-headed Grosbeak 10

Some other interesting birds:

Pileated Woodpecker

Ruby-crowned Kinglet, one still singing away

White-throated Sparrow, haven't seen it since December, returned with a
flock of Golden-crowned Sparrows

Back to watching and listening,
