There are at least 2 that are coming to my suet feeders. They've been hanging around for more than a month, but do not seem particularly defensive. On the other hand, I have a persistent Ruby-crowned Kinglet that fights the Starlings for suet.

Subject: [Tweeters] Pugnacious Yellow-Rumped Warbler
We have had a Yellow-Rumped warbler at our suet feeder now for about two weeks. About 5 days ago he started vigorously defending the suet feeder from other birds, particularly the Juncos and chickadees. We have had Yellow-Rumped warblers during the winter for several winters but this is the first time I have seen this behavior. Have others observed this behavior? Prior to this winter we were in another house with a very bird-friendly yard. I am wondering if part of the reason for this behavior is the relatively scarcity of food sources in this neighborhood.
