This afternoon around 1400hrs., the flock was back in the birch trees on the north side of the Montlake Cut. So......look for them in either location. Great to see so many!

Subject: [Tweeters] Montlake Cut Common Redpolls (King County)

Stopped by to look for the flock of 90 Common Redpolls that has been reported on UW campus along the Montlake Cut. After a bit of searching I found them on the south side of the cut in two birches right near the west end of Shelby Street. Great looks. I estimated about 60 in view. Not sure if the others were hidden or if the flock has split.

Also nice to see was a Peregrine Falcon heading north over the UW buildings.

Good birding,
