Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday February 4. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

The South Beach State Park MOUNTAIN PLOVER continues to be seen.

The first migrant flocks of TREE SWALLOWS were in the Rogue Valley January
30. The next day a flock was at Fern Ridge Reservoir.

The wintering BULLOCK¹S ORIOLE continues at the Marine Science Center at
Yaquina Bay. A HARRIS¹S SPARROW was near the boat ramp at Nehalem Bay State
Park January 31. On January 30 a YELLOWTHROAT was at Ridgefield NWR. A
COMMON REDPOLL is now visiting a southeast Portland feeder. On February 1 a
BLACK PHOEBE and a SORA were at the Fern Hill Wetlands in Forest Grove. A
COMMON TEAL was seen February 2 at the Fairview Wetlands in Salem.

On January 31 up to 79 BALD EAGLES were at their roost near Tangent. A flock
of 45 GREATER YELLOWLEGS were seen January 28 along Wigrich Road south of
Independence. Up to 31 TRUMPETER SWANS are now in the fields around Airlie
SW of Monmouth. The MOCKINGBIRD is still seen around 34th and High Streets
in Eugene. A RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER was seen January 31 in Bloomberg Park in
Eugene. Two TRICOLORED BLACKBIRDS were seen January 30 among a blackbird
flock at Fords Pond west of Sutherlin. Four TURKEY VULTURES were near Grants
Pass January 28.
