Jennifer Standish asked for suggestions on where to bird in northern
Oregon east of Portland and asked specifically about Snow Buntings and
American Tree Sparrow.

Jennifer, I suggest checking out the US (as opposed to the Washington)
version of Birder's Dashboard, which you can find at:

It shows that within the last 14 days, the only eBird reports of Snow
Buntings in Oregon are one on US 395 south of Pendleton and three on
Highway 203 southeast of LaGrande. American Tree Sparrow was also seen
in this same area (southeast of LaGrande). Also one was seen on the
Oregon-Washington border along the Grand Ronde River, not too far from
the Idaho border.

You can also check out locations on the dashboard, either by clicking
anywhere on the map or by hotspot and it will show you all the recent
sightings at that location.

Have a good trip!
