Later towards mid day Jim Danzenbaker and Ryan Abe joined me at Vancouver Lake up to that time I had a high count of 13 common terns. While Jim and Ryan were there we had a high of 12 common terns. The terns fly around the lake quite a bit and at times are hard to find due to distance and when they fly behind the island.

A Forester's tern, not associated with the commons, has stayed in the area where the pelicans roost and last seen landed with them. A much lighter bird with no black cap and long tail. This bird never flew with the commons.
