There was a Pheasant sighted by this person at Union Bay, near the where the large Cottonwood tree fell a couple of years ago. It appears from my sketches and the illustration in 'Collins' 'Birds of 'Britain and Europe' to be a female Ring-necked. It was much like the sketch in Collins and not very like the illustration in Sibley 'Guide to Birds'.
Can not recall seeing or hearing a pheasant in the 'Fill' for many-a-moon. Has anyone seen a 'Ring-necked' recently?
