Hi all,
There is a lone Trumpeter Swan hanging out around the Snohomish-Monroe
area. It may be tangled in fishing line but can still fly and feed.
It was last seen 5 days ago at Beecher Lake/Bob Heirman Wildlife Park's
Shadow Lake just south of Snohomish. If anyone spots a swan please let me
know. We are keeping track to see where it may end up for molting or demise.

And for those of you who need my off line contact info: please up date your
records to this email address: mj.cygnus at gmail.com

Also, great news about our new nonprofit organization for swans is now up
and working here in Washington: Northwest Swan Conservation Cooperative.
We were formerly known as the Washington Swan Stewards group affiliated with
The Trumpeter Swan Society. Due to local/regional needs we decided it was
time to become independent to better serve the needs of swans and citizens
of Washington. Still the same group, just with a new name and better able
to respond to local needs and concerns. We are excited to continue our work
with swans in Washington and regionally.
